How to Fix High Ping in Valorant: 4 Things You Can Do

Valorant is a game that requires a lot of finesse and minute details to be executed in a concise way. However, two things are the most important here, the FPS and the Ping. The FPS can be increased by incorporating a couple of tricks in and out of the game. However, ping is something that is dependent on your internet plan and a lot more factors. Today we will discuss what you can do in Valorant to fix your ping. Without further ado, let us get into it.

4 Things to Do to Fix Your Ping in Valorant in 2023

High ping is the biggest issue in Valorant aside from low FPS. There are a couple of common hacks you can use to ensure that you can fix that ping of yours so your enemies do not teleport on your screen and instantly headshot you. Firstly, there are a couple of things you can do without toggling the settings menu on your computer. Firstly, ensure that there are fewer people using your internet connection while you play.

The second is to ensure that you have to make Valorant the priority. We will show you how to do that in the coming sections. That being said, here are four things you can do to improve your ping.

  • Upgrade your Internet Plan
  • Optimize router settings
  • Set Valorant to High Priority
  • Restrict other applications

Upgrading your internet plan is the best thing you can do to decrease lag and stuttering in case of lower ping. However, any Internet plan would be better since Valorant does not require much. Optimizing your roster is another thing you can do. Play around with the placement of it. Restart the router and also ensure that you play around with the frequency.

You can also change Valorant to high priority by going to Task Manager and finding Valorant and changing it to high priority. Another thing you can do is restrict other applications and close out everything before starting the game so that other applications won’t consume bandwidth.

Those are all the things you can do to slightly increase your ping. However, we recommend trying all of the solutions if one or the other does not work. For more Valorant content, click here!
