This How To Minecraft article will examine how to capture and breed Axolots at your animal farm. Let us look at the guide in detail.
Axolotls are beautiful variants of fish in the game. They are rare, and capturing them is difficult if you have no guide. However, once you do, it is pretty easy to breed them; you only need to get them together in one pool and feed them the same tropical fish. This guide will teach you how to do all of those things. Let us take a look at the steps.
How to Breed Axolotls in Minecraft; Three Simple Steps
Step 1 – Finding and Catching Axolotls
First, we will find these little fish. These fish are found in Ocean Biomes rarely, but if you want a higher chance of catching them, you need to find Lush Cave Biomes. There will be mobs of 4-6 Axolotls in those Biomes. To catch them, keep a bucket handy; when you see one, go near it, equip the bucket, and right-click. You will get the fish inside the bucket. We have a guide below if you do not know how to make a bucket.

Step 2 – Building a Place for Them to Breed
Build a 3×3 fort with Glass. It will be easier to keep an eye on them using it. Get glass panes and build a rectangular box with a roof and trapdoor to feed them. There are plenty of guides out there which will explain to you how to build one. Fill it to the brim with water. After you have finished building it, place the Axolotls in the tank. Next is the final step.
Step 3 – Breeding Axolotls
Now they need tropical fishes. To find them go to any Ocean Biome. They will be there in hordes. Pick up lots of them in a bucket and feed it to the Axolotls. Wait a minute or so, the Axolotls will enter Love Mode, and then a baby Axolotl will spawn.
