The Brazilian forward has admitted to missing his former teammates Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez, saying that their friendship was beautiful.
Former Barcelona star Neymar has admitted that he misses playing with Barcelona stars Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.
Neymar left Barcelona for Paris Saint-Germain for a world record fee of £198 Million in August. The Argentine and Brazilian were once a part of the world’s deadliest attacking trio, along with Luis Suarez.
Despite the Brazilian leaving for Paris in summer, Barcelona star man Messi and Suarez remain close with Neymar. Neymar’s move to PSG broke one of the deadliest attacking trio in the world.
After leaving Barcelona, Neymar has admitted that he missed the trio. In an interview broadcast on YouTube, Neymar told Zico: “The friendship that we had was something very beautiful. What I miss from Barcelona and about Barcelona is these two, due to the joy we had on a daily basis.”

“There was a game where I dribbled several players and then gave a pass. Messi dribbled several players in another play and Suarez tried to do the same dribbling and then a backflip pass. We started to laugh at him. We were so intimate that we could laugh at each other when one couldn’t do things. And then he arrives at the locker room and says, ‘Well, I saw you dribbling and I tried to do the same!”, Neymar recollected his memories at Barcelona.
It is speculated that Neymar will move to Real Madrid this summer, as Florentino Perez is keen on the move. The Brazilian has been on sidelines for the past three months, as he recovers from ankle injury.
However, his decision to leave Barcelona for Paris Saint-Germain raised many eyebrows on him. After joining Paris Saint-Germain in August, speculations regarding Brazilian’s next career move has gathered pace in the past few days, with some outlets suggesting that Madrid are ready to pounce on him as early this summer.
But on Saturday he shocked the world after he posted a tweet that seemed to pledge his future to the French treble winners. The tweet reads, “Proud to wear the new jersey and to continue giving you joy.”
Neymar was welcomed with open arms by his new teammates and Messi in the summer of 2013. Their relationship is not something which only reflects on the pitch.
There’s no doubt that the pair could’ve won many more trophies if they had remained as a unit together at Barcelona, but it’s very much clear that their relationship hasn’t suffered.
