Immortals of Aveum: An FPS with Spell-Casting; PlayStation's Newest Adventure!

Immortals of Aveum is the latest PlayStation adventure about a sorcerer who is out to protect his homeland. The game is being made by Ascendant Studios and its release date is quite closer than we expect. The game will release on July 20, 2023. It is shaping up to be one of the best FPS games this year. Let us look at everything we know about this game.

Immortals of Aveum: Things You Should Know about the Game!

Ascendant Studios have been responsible for making a lot of recognizable games in the past. Most prominently the Dead Space and CoD games. In the magical FPS game, you will take control of Jak, who is a slum kid picked out to be a Batlle Mage. However, he is no ordinary mage. He has the extraordinary ability to wield all three colors of Magic; he’s called a Triarch.

The name Immortals in the game does not mean someone who has eternal life. It is a name chosen to strike fear in the heart of foes. Brett Robbins, the CEO of Ascendant Studios had this to say about the name Immortals, “Basically, they’re like the Navy SEALS of our wizard world.” They’re taking on the forces of Rasharn, but human soldiers are far from the only threat they’ll face: Elementals, magically-animated Constructs, and terrifyingly resilient Archons. But some of the most memorable encounters will be battles against other expert spellslingers.”

Gameplay

In addition, the gameplay is quite similar to other FPS titles. That will be the homing beacon for FPS lovers. The powers are quite similar to elements of different FPS titles. For example, Breachfire is like a shotgun while Javelins are chargeable projectiles that hurt enemies. “The more you get to play with them and see how they work, the more depth, surprises, and fun you’ll find,”  “The challenge (in design) was making these spells feel as good, or even better, as shooting a gun.” Said Robbins about the gameplay.

The game releases on the PlayStation 5, Xbox X/S, and PC on July 20th. The game was announced earlier this year on The Game Awards. Are you going to pick this game up?
