India Beat Pakistan Again At The Asia Cup !

In what is a remarkable feat India has won all six editions of the Women’s Asia Cup till date giving them an overall record of 32 consecutive victories.
Mithali Raj was the star with the bat as she remained unbeaten on 73 as India posted a score of 121 in their allotted 20 overs. Mithali’s knock included seven boundaries and a six.

Pakistan’s reply was steady as skipper Bismah Maroof top scored with 25 with two boundaries. But she kept losing her partners on a regular basis as India kept chipping away at Pakistan’s batting order.
For India, Ekta Bisht was the pick of the bowlers as she picked up two wickets while she was ably supported by the rest of the bowling unit.
Pakistan eventually folded for 104 and thus giving India’s it’s sixth consecutive Asia Cup triumph. Former Indian cricketers Virender Sehwag was the first one to congratulate the team on their historic achievement.

The tournament consisted of India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal and hosts Thailand. In what was a very successful event overall, the top two teams from this group would play in the final.
