India vs South Africa next match date and time: When and where will the first IND vs SA Test be played?

India vs South Africa next match date and time: The Sports Rush present before you full details about the imminent Test series.

After the first T20I of the ongoing South Africa’s tour of India was abandoned without a ball being bowled in Dharamsala, the next two matches witnessed teams successfully chasing down mediocre targets.

While India chased down a 150-run target in the penultimate over in the second T20I in Mohali, South Africa chased down a 135-run target in the 17th over in the third T20I played in Bengaluru last night. There is no hiding to the fact that the visitors would be the happier side after the drawn series.

Although there will be changes in the squad for the Test matches, the victory in the third T20I will give their setup much-needed confidence before the first Test.

India vs South Africa next match date and time

Part of the ongoing ICC Test Championship, India and South Africa will play a three-match series starting from October 2 in Visakhapatnam. While the second Test will begin from October 10 in Pune, the third one will begin from October 19 in Ranchi.

It is worth mentioning that all the Test matches are day matches and will begin at 9:30 AM (IST).

The biggest upshot of the 15-member Indian squad is that limited-overs vice-captain Rohit Sharma will open the innings in a refreshing move. Having last played a Test during the tour of Australia last year, Sharma has a golden opportunity to cement his spot in the Test team.

On the other hand, South Africa will be hoping to bank on the experience gained from the ‘A’ series against India A. While some of their players had played in that series, the T20I players will play in a three-day match against Indian Board President’s XI starting from September 26.
