Indiana Jones Game : Bethesda to work on a Indiana Jones game along with Lucas Films

Bethesda announces new Indiana Jones game and they are partnering with Lucas Films. The studio behind Wolfenstein will helm the project.

Indiana Jones is a very successful movie franchise with a large fan base. The Raiders of the Lost Ark is considered by many as a cult classic movie. A new movie the fifth part is also in the works. It also has a rich gaming history going back to 1982.

A game based on the first movie was released.  It was released for the Atari 2600. Since then many popular games were released on many different consoles. Bethesda was recently acquired by Microsoft. This is their first big project since the multi billion dollar deal.

Indiana Jones the untitled project –

The game is being developed by MachineGames. They are the creators of the Wolfenstein franchise of games. Yesterday, Disney revealed that LucasFilms will venture into gaming with the launch of a new LucasFilm Games label. The Indiana Jones game will come under this new label. This seems to be another push by Disney into the gaming industry.

Details revealed in the video trailer –

In the trailer the video pans through a table with a lot of Indiana Jones movie memorabilia. There are papers spread about, a camera and books. Soon the iconic fedora and the whip come into picture before the video ends abruptly.

All this will surely make movie fans nostalgic and reminiscence some of their memories. There is also a hint about the game being based in Rome.

Indiana Jones new game everything we know so far –

Up till now we don’t know much about the game. Title was not yet revealed. Similarly the release date is not yet known as well. StarWars.com says the game is an “original, standalone tale set at the height of the career of the famed adventurer”.
