Hardik Pandya

Hardik Pandya’s sudden rise to fame earned him the adoration of many. He was a fast bowling all-rounder; the kind that the Indian team had been looking for since the retirement of the legendary Kapil Dev.

However, Hardik’s off field antics earned him the notoriety of many. He was criticized for several reasons. Many believed that his success had gone to his head and it was affecting his game. There is also a section of people that believe that he represents everything that is wrong with Indian Cricket at the moment.

However, his most notable gaffe was his sexist remarks in a talk show which threatened to end his career. He has also been a target of trolls over his educational qualifications; considering Team India’s new jersey is sponsored by BYJU’s.

Sarfaraz Ahmed

Pakistan won the 2017 Champions Trophy under Sarfaraz Ahmed. Following their rise to the top of the T20 rankings, it seemed that Sarfaraz had steadied the rocking ship that was Pakistan Cricket. Unfortunately, that was not to be.

Both Pakistan and Sarfaraz lost their form at the same time. Pakistan’s purple patch was over and so was their captain’s. Sarfraz soon caught heat for several reasons including his decision making and his fitness regimen.

The entire 2020 World Cup was flooded with the Pakistani captain’s memes. He did himself no favours by yawning in the match against India and was made the butt of jokes throughout the tournament. Sarfaraz is no longer Pakistan’s captain. However, that has had no effects of trolls who still make fun of him enthusiastically.

Ravindra Jadeja

Ravindra Jadeja has had several nicknames in his career. Shane Warne used to call him Rock Star for his ability to hold up one end while bowling. However, his poor performance in the 2009 T20 World Cup led to many sarcastically calling him Sir Ravindra Jadeja.

During the prime of Jadeja jokes, he was compared to Rajnikant by trolls and even Ravi Ashwin and MS Dhoni got in the joke and made several Jadeja jokes on Twitter. To his credit, Jadeja never had a problem with the joke and took it rather well.

He has also gotten in trouble for taking a selfie with Lions in the Gir sanctuary and his hookah post while incurring more ridicule for his awkward reaction to dismissing Virat Kohli in an IPL match or his involvement in the run-out of Hardik Pandya in 2017 Champions Trophy.

Archie is a WWE and UFC Editor/Author at the SportsRush. Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
