We bring to you 3 CSK stars who are currently great at what they do and will bloom into bigger stars for the franchise as time passes by.

Chennai Super Kings have had a very special outing this season which the boys putting up a team show. Chennai were back at their best after spending two years in wilderness this year and all the players chipped in with useful contributions. Right from the captaincy, to the batting order, to the bowling line up, all seemed to fall in place for them.

Although, their home games were shifted from Chennai, the team did not get disheartened. In their new home at Pune, CSK played as if they were playing at their home ground.

As it turned out, CSK won the Qualifier 1 against Sunrisers Hyderabad and stormed into the Finals. In the Final as well, CSK dint break a sweat to get the better of Sunrisers Hyderabad for the fourth time straight in the tournament.

Although several seasoned players like MS Dhoni, Shane Watson and Suresh Raina contributed en route their final win, there were some young turks who also managed to leave a mark. Here are 3 such players who can well turn out to be stars for CSK in the near future.

Deepak Chahar

Each year MS Dhoni comes up with a low-profile and lesser known bowler who blossoms under his guidance. One year it was Manpreet Singh Gony, another year it was Ishwar Pandey and this time around it’s Deepak Chahar.

With pace in the 130s, Chahr is a more than useful bowler in conducive conditions. He can jag the ball around and can be a handful if there is some assistance on offer. He can turn out to be a real asset for the franchise in the future.

Lungi Ngidi

Lungi Ngidi has formed a formidable new ball pair with Deepak Chahar. He has a tall frame and bowls at good pace.  Ngidi ended as the Man of the Match with dream figures of 4-10-4 against Kings XI Punjab in Pune. The Protea bowled well in the Final as well.

Dhoni entrusted a lot of faith in the South African bowler and he gradually became Chennai’s lead pacer. From the time that he returned from his father’s funeral, he has hit his straps running. Ngidi can be a valuable asset at the death also.

Mitchell Santner

It was very unfortunate that Mitchell Santner missed the entire season for CSK due to injury. Santer has risen through the ranks very quickly and has become a lead all-rounder for New Zealand. A left arm spinner and a handly left hand batsman, Santner can be a blessing for any team.

He also bowls with a lot of guile and pitches the ball at hard lengths which makes it very difficult for the opposition batsmen to line him up or tonk him towards the side screen. This is the reason why CSK picked him, however he got injured just before the tournament.
