Fantasy Tips for CSK vs KKR

A batting effort of the lowest quality meant that Rajasthan Royals did not quite receive the grand welcome that their counterparts did. Moreover, the RR bowlers, who would have wanted to script a comeback for Rajasthan in the 2nd innings came across an inspired Shikhar Dhawan.

Dhawan took the attack to the Rajasthan bowlers and did not allow them even a sniff back into the game.

With last night’s match, all teams have now played one game in the tournament and have some idea with respect to the team combination that they need to dish out in IPL 2018.

CSK take on KKR in one of the most anticipated games of IPL 2018 and with both teams coming off a win, the match-up promises to be a closely contested one.

The Chennai franchise though have been hit hard with the hamstring injury to Jadhav, ruling him out of IPL 2018. They will now have to get back to the drawing board and rethink their strategy with respect to their team combination.

Imran Tahir was expensive in the last game and couldn’t really create the impact that he should have. He could be making way for Karn Sharma, with Billings slotting into the middle order or as an opener(Rayudu could move down the order).

Dhoni would be hoping that another dose of Bravo heroics won’t be needed today, as the entire team needs to step up to the plate and deliver in this crunch, crunch encounter.

KKR on the other hand would be looking to stick to their mantra of bowling the oppositon out for a relatively paltry score and then chasing it down with the help of an explosive knock from one of their openers.

Let’s get to business now!

IPL Fantasy League(Fantasy Tips for CSK vs KKR)

Transfer out: Deepak Hooda, Rashid Khan, KL Rahul

Transfer in: Dwayne Bravo/Sunil Narine, Suresh Raina, Siddharth Kaul

Now, I already have Chris Lynn, Andre Russell, Kuldeep Yadav and Shubman Gill in my team for this game.

Gill wasn’t picked in the XI in the last game and it seems like he won’t make it to the XI today as well. I’ll be transferring him out after today’s match, hoping against hope that he is drafted into the XI today.

With respect to my foreign recruits, I have Russell, Lynn. Stokes and Rashid Khan in my XI for today’s game.

With Lynn and Russell featuring in today’s game and Stokes set to feature tomorrow, there is only one overseas player that can be replaced for today’s game and that is Rashid Khan.

Rashid too has a match on Thursday, but because of the sheer volume of superstars up for grabs today, I will need to transfer him out at all costs.

The tussle for that final overseas spot is between Dwayne Bravo and Sunil Narine, both of whom have had a stellar opening game this season.

Who do you get in then?

While there is no obvious way to tell who could have more impact in today’s game, you could take a calculated guess depending on the toss.

Now, if CSK bowl first, I would get in Bravo, as he’ll surely be able to dish out his death bowling skills whilst bowling first. I have a simple theory/concept when it comes to death over specialists, get them in or captain them only when they bowl in the first innings, as that is the only way you can guarantee that they would get those cheap wickets during the death,

In the 2nd innings they might not have a score big enough to defend and thus Bravo might not be able to bowl at the death(take yesterday’s SRH vs RR game for example). And while Bravo did play that heroic innings last time round, his bowling is his primary asset.

Thus, I get in Bravo if CSK bowl first and Narine if KKR bowl first.

Now, when I bring either one of them in for Rashid Khan, and transfer out one of the uncapped all rounders, I need to get in an uncapped bowler in order to be within the team combination regulations.

None of the uncapped players from this match are pure bowlers, according to the IPL official site and hence I will need to bring in someone from tomorrow’s match.

RR vs DD too doesn’t have any suitable ‘pure uncapped’ bowler and hence I will bring in Siddharth Kaul from SRH, who would feature in SRH’s match against MI on Thursday.

Watson and Raina are two other players worth discussing for this game.

Watson had a fantastic game last time round, picking up a couple of wickets and getting off to a good start in the 2nd innings, however, with the overseas quota already done with, I cannot get him in!

Suresh Raina was non-existent for CSK in the last game, but he is back to his den tonight and could put on a show at the Chepauk. Mitchell Johnson’s short stuff could be the only thing putting him off as he should be able to play the KKR spinners pretty well.

As I cannot carry KL Rahul until the KXIP game and Suresh Raina too can be transferred out after this game to fit in Rohit Sharma, I’ll have to take chance and get in Raina.

I won’t be taking any more players from this game.

Match Powerplayer: Sunil Narine/Dwayne Bravo(whoever is transferred in)

2nd Innings powerplayer: Chris Lynn/Suresh Raina(whoever bats second)

Fandromeda(Fantasy Tips for CSK vs KKR)

Transfer out: Ben Stokes

Transfer in: Dwayne Bravo/Sunil Narine

Now, I already have Chris Lynn, Andre Russell and Kuldeep Yadav in my team for this game.

I am in quite a fix with my Fandromeda team for this game, as Stokes, Short, Rishabh Pant play a game tomorrow and Lynn, Russell and Kuldeep feature today.

That leaves me with 5 possible options to transfer out.

Now, I’ll have to transfer out Ben Stokes despite him having a game tomorrow and I’ll bring in one from Narine and Bravo.

I know it doesn’t fit into the schedule strategy but with both Bravo and Narine having dual scoring abilities, you cannot afford to miss out on both of them.

I bring in Bravo if CSK bowl first and Narine if KKR bowl first.

Now, you can get in Suresh Raina for Shikhar Dhawan but I would go in for that transfer only CSK bat second(as chasing has been the norm of the tournament so far).

Batting powerplayer: Chris Lynn/Suresh Raina(whoever bats second)

Bowling powerplayer: Dwayne Bravo/Suresh Raina(whoever bowls first)
