The first inconsequential match of this year’s IPL is upon us. CSK have already made it to the playoffs and are almost certain to finish in the top 2 and DD have been eliminated from the competition.

CSK though will be wary of complacency settling into the system now that they have qualified for the playoffs. However, a think tank that consists of Dhoni and Fleming would know better and wouldn’t let complacency even a sniff into that CSK camp.
Momentum will play a huge role in the playoffs and hence CSK would try and win both of their final games and go into the playoffs with sky high confidence.
DD have identified an outstanding Indian core(Pant, Iyer, Abhishek Sharma and Prithvi Shaw) for themselves for the next 7-8 years. They would hope that these 4 try and take maximum experience from the remaining two games and help restore some pride for DD.

IPL Fantasy League(Fantasy Tips for DD vs CSK)

Transfer in: Rishabh Pant, Ambati Rayudu, Prithvi Shaw
Now, I don’t have any player in my side for this game.
I’ll have to use the elimination technique in order to justify who I bring into my side today.
Rishabh Pant, Shreyas Iyer, Ambati Rayudu and Shane Watson are the four players in my consideration set for this game.
Between Iyer and Pant, I would suggest that you get in Pant, despite the fact that he bats a position lower, because he can give you a few extra points with his wicketkeeping skills.
Pant has been in exceptional form this season, tonking the bowlers to all parts of the ground. And with the match held at the flat wicket in Kotla today, you can expect him to go big tonight as well.
Now, between Rayudu and Watson, Watson seems like the safer option, as he’ll get to both bat and ball, however, at the Kotla, he could be taken for a lot of runs.
Rayudu has been in fine touch this IPL and is coming off a hundred from his last outing. He would enjoy batting on the Kotla strip. Also, Lamichanne could get through Watson, however, Rayudu is a brilliant player of spin and should be able to avoid the threat of Lamichanne.
For the uncapped player, I would get in Prithvi Shaw, keeping in mind that the ball shouldn’t do much at the Kotla.
Now, there is a rain/storm threat in the evening, and hence the match could be shortened one. If that is infact the case, go in with the only one from Pant and Rayudu, depending on who bats in the first innings.

Ambatu Rayudu and Rishabh Pant would be the first two players that I would draft into my XI for this game, reasons for which are already mentioned in the IPL Fantasy League section.
Now, for the bowling captain you could take one from Boult and Lamichanne. I would prefer to go with Boult because he is sure to bowl 2 overs at the death and thus could get a few wickets.
