IPL Fantasy Tips for MI vs KKR

Mumbai Indians are find themselves down in the dumps in the points table but high on confidence after that wonderful win against the Kings XI a couple of days back.

Rohit Sharma was at the top of his game and Krunal Pandya dished out a brilliant batting performance during the death overs to take MI home against a well-balanced Kings XI side.

Mumbai have the equation laid out in front of them, as they need to win all of their remaining games in order to have any chance of making it to the playoffs.

But they have a spirited KKR side in front of them today, a side that is well balanced, and a side that knows how to win and a side that is being admirably led by their newly appointed captain Dinesh Karthik.

KKR are coming off a strong win against CSK at the Eden Gardens, a game in which Shubman Gill showed why he is one of the most promising youngsters in the country.

With so many stars on display and such a flat track at the Wankhede, you can expect a high scoring game tonight.

Let’s get to business now!

Now, I already have Ishan Kishan, Mayank Markande, Rohit Sharma and Sunil Narine in my side for this game.

Considering the high scoring nature of this ground, I want to bring in a batsman for this game.

Chris Lynn, Evin Lewis and Andre Russell are in my consideration set for this game.

Andre Russell seems like the safest option here, provided KKR bat first, as he would also be called upon to bowl a few overs. However, with Russell you always run the risk of missing out on his late order hitting skills, if KKR decide to hold him back too much.

There is no logical way to determine who out of Lewis and Lynn would fire today. Both the openers would be stifled by the opposition spinners and thus could get out cheaply. Especially Lewis, who would be up against 3 world class spinners.

Thus, if you want to get either of them in, I would advice you to go in with Lynn.

So, that leaves us with a Russell-Lynn conundrum.

A simple solution for that would be, get in Russell if KKR bat first and get in Lynn if KKR bat second.

Now, due to the paucity of transfers, I wouldn’t be able to get in any of these players into my team, but if you have more than 22 transfers in the bag, get in one from Russell and Lynn, depending on what happens at the toss.

For the uncapped player, I get in Krunal Pandya into my side, if MI bat first, else I get in Suryakumar Yadav.

Now, I already have Rohit Sharma in my side for this game.

Sunil Narine is the first player that I would get into my side for this game. His all-round abilities are too much to overlook and he rediscovered some of his bowling form in the previous game. Get him in!

For the second player for this game, I get in one from Russell and Lynn, depending on the toss(I have given my explanation for it in the IPL Fantasy League section).

Krunal Pandya would be the last player that I get into my team for this game. His all round abilities and his X-factor are a little too much to overlook, especially considering his form in the last few games.

Batting Powerplayer- Rohit Sharma

Bowling Powerplayer- Sunil Narine
