Delhi Capitals announce donation for Pulwama: The IPL franchise’s announcement has come as a respite for the martyrs’ kin.

The whole of India was left shocked when an unfortunate terrorist attack took place in Jammu & Kashmir’s Pulwama on February 14. Around 40+ Indian soldiers were martyred as the nation was left in mourning.

Post the attacks, plentiful popular celebrities from varying fields came together to offer their support in the form of donation to the families of the martyred soldiers.

Indian Premier League franchise Delhi Capitals (earlier known as Delhi Daredevils) have become the first IPL team to offer support to the grief-stricken families. Taking to their official social media accounts, Capitals announced a share of earnings from their first home game against Chennai Super Kings on March 26.

Delhi Capitals urge every Indian to contribute

Having announced their bit for the families of the martyred soldiers, Delhi Capitals also urged every Indian to come forward and donate their bit to make a difference in their lives.

With the schedule for the first 17 matches of IPL 2019 been announced a couple of hours ago, it has come as a respite for all the fans and the stakeholders of the tournament. It is worth mentioning that the schedule will keep on being announced in parts because of the looming General Elections in the country.
