Kings XI Punjab and Rajasthan Royals: The two IPL franchises were witnessed getting involved in serious banter on Twitter.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India announcing the schedule for the first 17 matches of the Indian Premier League has allured a whole new interest in the cash-rich league.

With clarity on when and where their favourite teams will be playing in IPL 2019, fans have instantly started to get more involved in the build-up to the tournament. While the schedule should have been announced by now, the tournament clashing with the general elections had caused the delay.

The development also brought forward the competitiveness in the respective social media handled of the franchises for they have now started to not let go any remark from any opposition.

Among one of the first banters happened between Kings XI Punjab and Rajasthan Royals as both the franchises posted a couple of tweets for each other on social media platform Twitter.

Much like other franchises, even KXIP posted their schedule for IPL 2019.

KXIP warns RR to not be red-faced

Highlighting their season opener match against Rajasthan Royals on March 25 at Jaipur, Punjab took a dig at Rajasthan’s new pink-colour jersey. Highlighting the pink colour, KXIP hoped for the match not leaving the hosts red-faced.

Quick to response to Kings XI’s dig, Royals pointed out the fact that Punjab have never defeated Rajasthan Royals on their home ground in Jaipur.

While Punjab had predicted for Royals’ face getting red post the match, they once against highlighted the same even before the match.

Royals end the banter on a positive note

It was kind-hearted of Rajasthan Royals to end the banter on a positive note. They stated that irrespective of the colour, they expect a riveting contest in the new season of the IPL.
