IPL Throwback When Dwayne Bravo spectacularly ran Virat Kohli out during IPL 2015

IPL Throwback: When Dwayne Bravo spectacularly ran Virat Kohli out during IPL 2015 in a match between Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Back in 2015 edition of the IPL, Dwayne Bravo displayed his amazing athleticism to run Virat Kohli out. The South Indian Derby between Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore pitched the West Indian against the then Indian vice-captain.

Kohli blocked the delivery and sent the ball back towards Bravo’s way, who leapt, collected the ball and flung it towards the stumps in one fell swoop. The surprised batsman turned around and dived towards the crease. However, replays confirmed what Bravo already knew. Kohli was found short of the crease and was dismissed just 2 runs short of his half century.

Bravo ended the match with figures of 2 for 17 as Bangalore faltered in their chase and lost the match by 24 runs.

CSK would go on to reach the final of the 2015 but would concede the title to Mumbai Indians. The same two sides squared off in the final last year with CSK triumphing. The pair are set to go head to head with each other in the opening match of IPL 2020.

However, the latest edition of the IPL has been suspended until 15th April amidst the coronavirus pandemic. The tournament was originally scheduled to commence on 29th March 2020. The opening match now may be played on 15 April 2020 in Wankhede Stadium Mumbai, Maharashtra.

The new updated schedule will be published soon. BCCI & IPL Authority are working with all IPL teams to handle a situation where IPL 2020 may be called off.
