Another set of world-beaters, another set of modern day legends, another game which promises to attract cricket enthusiasts from all over the globe. CPL 2016 has proven to be a revelation; closely following IPL’s footsteps to bring together the biggest T20 stars in the world. And the quality of cricket has been top notch until now, giving the home fans a lot to cheer about. Jamaica Tallawahs vs Trinbago Knight Riders promises to be another cracker of a contest with the likes of Chris Gayle, Kumar Sangakkara, Hashim Amla and Sunil Narine are set to take the field.

Jamaica Tallawahs have been in great form throughout this tournament, with almost all of their top order batsmen coming to the party. Sangakkara scored a brilliant 65 in the last game showing the world that he still possesses that finesse which made him one of the best batsmen of his generation.

Chris Gayle has already found his brutal form and is leading from the front. Andre Russell and Shakib Al Hasan have been providing great late order surges to ensure that the Tallawahs always maximize their runs in the death overs.

On the bowling front Kesrick Williams, Dale Steyn and Imad Wasim have been brilliant along with good support from Shakib Al hasan and Andre Russell. So, on the whole the Tallawahs have gelled well as a team, with almost everyone contributing to the victories.

The Knight Riders have suddenly revived their sinking campaign by stacking up 2 wins in 2 games, with the last one being a huge win against the high flying Barbados Tridents!

Amla and Munro have been brilliant with the bat all through with Amla taking up the anchor’s role initially and Munro being the aggressor. The Tallawahs will have to find a way through Amla’s defence if they want to have a good chance of troubling the Knight Riders batting unit

Sunil Narine and Dwayne Bravo have been miserly and clever with their bowling, restricting the batsmen and picking up wickets at regular intervals.

Both teams look well settled and would be looking to get a win at this stage to break away from that mid table rut.

Let’s get to business now!

Jamaica Tallawahs vs Trinbago Knight Riders (Moneyball9 Fantasy Tips)

Batsmen

Chris Gayle will be my first pick for this category. There is no one greater than him when it comes to T20 batting and though he’ll be up against a pretty gritty bowling unit, you can’t afford to leave him out for one off games because if he comes good you have no chance of being in the top 50.

Hashim Amla and Colin Munro have been the lynchpin of the Trinbago Knight Riders batting unit playing the role of the anchor and aggressor respectively. With the form that these two are in it would be a grave mistake to leave them out. Get them in!

Wicketkeeper

Kumar Sangakkara struck form in the last game for the Tallawahs and is the best bet for the wicketkeeper slot amongst all the available options. McCullum has been constantly dropped by the Knight Riders and Umar Akmal bats too low to have any significant impact on the game. Hopefully he replicates his previous game performance this time round as well.

All Rounders

Andre Russell is my all rounder for this game. It was a tough choice between him and Bravo but I opted for Russell because of his better batting skills. Russell and come in and tonk the ball at a more consistent rate than Bravo and hence he seems a more valuable pick than him. Also, Russell is Rs 2000 less than Bravo.

I leave out Shakib Al Hasan because he bats too low and cannot guarantee you a lot of points with the bat.

Bowlers

Suleimann Benn is the first bowler that I bring in and that is mainly because of the differentiating factor that he brings to the table. Not many would opt for this lanky left arm bowler but considering his height and the amount of purchase he gets from the wicket, he is someone who is very difficult to get away. Get him in, he could be the difference between you being in top 100 or top 10.

Kesrick Williams has been a revelation in this year’s CPL, picking up wickets in heaps and completely dismantling opposition’s with his raw pace. Get him in!

Rovman Powell is my last player in this category. He has been average as a bowler but recently he has been bumped up to bat at number 4 or number 5 and he also scored a crafty 35 in the last game. Getting to bowl at least 2 overs and batting at number 5, he is a very handy pick and could be a differentiating factor as well.

Flexible Player

Imad Wasim is my flexible player for this game. His trickery with the ball has made him a fearful property with the ball and his late order hitting could also come in handy for this side and my fantasy team.
