Jon Moxley Next Destination: Are WWE and Dean Ambrose pulling a swerve on the fans? Here at Sportsrush we take a look at all possible options for the reborn Superstar.
Ever since Dean Ambrose dropped a video unveiling his new (or old depending on how long you have followed the superstar) Jon Moxley persona, fans around the world have started speculating which promotion will the former WWE Champion turn up at. Here’s looking at all the options that could end up being Jon Moxley’s next destination.
AEW
Wrestling fans believe that there are enough hints in the video to suggest that Moxley could join the Elites at AEW. For instance, the dice graphic in the video has the numbers 2 and 5. AEW’s Double or Nothing Pay per view takes place on May 25. Cody Rhodes, the Executive Vice President of AEW has even liked the video.

Impact Wrestling
There are also ongoing rumors that Moxley may pull a swerve and join Impact Wrestling instead. This rumor has been fueled by Joe Peisich’s comments on Barnburner Radio where he said:
” there is a chance that Moxley may sign with Impact Wrestling”.
As of now there are no announcement of a deal by either Impact or Moxley himself.
WWE
The send off that Moxley received from WWE also has a lot of people questioning whether this is all just a work. WWE is not known to treat it’s outgoing stars well. Some even believe that the company helped in the production of Moxley’s hype video.
Bully Ray, a former WWE Superstar, is one of them. While discussing the video from Moxley on Busted Open Radio, Bully Ray said that it wasn’t completely out of the question for WWE to be the people behind the video. He also stated that he wouldn’t put anything past his former employees and the company would probably pull a swerve and bring back Dean Ambrose under a new name and a gimmick.

However the comments that Moxley made on the WWE Special he featured in “The Shield’s Final Chapter” where he said that he entered a casino 8 years back and won against the million dollar man, suggests that this rumor is most probably just that, a rumor.
It is highly unlikely that the former WWE Star will turn out for WWE or Impact. AEW seems to be the most probable destination.
However…
In an interview with TalkSport.com, Seth Rollins mentioned how Moxley just wanted the freedom to make his own decisions. Turning up for the Indies would then not be out of the realm of possibilities for him to. Doing so would in fact be in keeping with his unpredictable personality.
It is easy to dismiss all reports until confirmed otherwise but one can never say never in wrestling and Moxley could easily turn up anywhere. All avenues are open and every platform is a possibility. As a fan though, as long as he continues to wrestle, ‘where’ doesn’t matter.
