Jose Mourinho alleges refereeing partiality towards Manchester United

Jose Mourinho alleges that Manchester United have been favoured by refereeing decisions; statement came after Premier League clash.

Jose Mourinho has once again attacked his opposition team, and this time it is his former club Manchester United, the Portuguese manager alleged that the Red Devils have been favoured by refereeing over penalties.

Last night also Manchester United were awarded two penalties (the second one was overturned by VAR) in the game against Tottenham Hotspur and this comment is coming after last night’s match only.

“I am not happy with the first penalty and I am not happy with the second penalty,” Mourinho said afterwards at the BBC. “I’m not happy with the VAR. The referee can make a mistake and give a cheap penalty, but then the VAR is there to do its job.

“At the second penalty, I am not happy with Moss, because he did not already give a free-kick to Serge Aurier and then he gave a cheap non-penalty. This time the VAR gave the truth. ”

Mourinho notices that Manchester United gets a lot of penalties. “We all know that United have received an incredible number of penalties this season, so we knew that any situation in the penalty area would be very dangerous for us.

“We had to be very, very careful. With every shot we wanted to block, we had to keep our arms behind the body because we knew it could happen. “

“I think the second penalty is really incredible. If the VAR decides it is a Schwalbe, that player must receive a yellow card, but it does not. So I am quite angry about those two decisions, but it is the way it is, ‘said the Portuguese, who was also pleased with the efforts of his team.

“I am happy with our attitude, organization and control. We played very solid and put United in a position they don’t like. I am very happy about that. ”
