Juan Mata new contract: The Manchester United midfielder is in the final year of his deal at the club.
Manchester United have been in brilliant form ever since the arrival of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The side hasn’t conceded a defeat in the eight games under his charge.
The players have stepped up brilliantly under the Norwegian’s charge. While the fans are enjoying the attacking football from their side, the player-contracts remain a concern.
Key players like David De Gea, Anthony Martial, Ander Herrera and Juan Mata have been speculated with new contracts. While Martial is reportedly close to sign a new deal, Ander Herrera stated that a new deal is not a concern for him at the moment.
While talks are ongoing with the star goalkeeper, Juan Mata’s contract had been facing some issue. It was reported earlier that the club was unwilling to adhere to Mata’s demands of a two-year contract.
Juan Mata new contract:
According to English media outlet Evening Standard, Manchester United have offered a one-year contract to Juan Mata. The contract is likely to include a 12-month option as well.
In current circumstances, Mata will become a free agent in the summer. He is currently free to hold personal negotiations with other clubs, as he entered the final six months of his contract in January.
Juan Mata has been offered a one-year extension at #mufc. A sensible offer for a 30-year-old – likely to include 12-month option.
But he knows this could be the last major contract of his career, so will probably look for more security.

The 30-year-old midfielder joined Manchester United in 2014 under David Moyes’ charge and has been one of the mainstays in the first team at the club.
The player has been linked with a move to Italy in the transfer window this month. Juventus are one of the clubs eyeing for his signature, according to the report.
Mata has made four appearances under Solskjaer so far, scoring the opening goal against Reading in the third round of the FA Cup.
