One of the most storied cricketing rivalries take write another chapter in a week’s time, as India and Pakistan face each other in their opening match of the Champions Trophy. And the pre-match build up has already begun, as Junaid Khan starts playing mind games with Virat Kohli.

India has famously never lost to Pakistan in a World Cup match, a fact that Pakistan fans do not like to be reminded of over and over again. But Pakistan do have the edge over India in the Champions Trophy. India have faced Pakistan three times in the tournament, winning the latter winning twice.

And the Pakistan players know this fact, which is why they have already started mentioning this to the press, ahead of their big match against their arch-rivals.
Pace bowler Junaid Khan has gone a step further, as he claims that he is not afraid of the Indian skipper, Virat Kohli. Junaid has dismissed Kohli three times in his career, which is something that he reminded Kohli of, ahead of their match.
“I have dismissed him in three out of the four matches we have faced each other. He is a brilliant batsman but he has failed against me.”

“India-Pakistan game is always exciting but for us it is a game of cricket. The hype around India-Pakistan games (are) not always in our control.”
“We have a better record against India in the Champions Trophy, not in other competitions. We are looking to maintain that against them and it’s very exciting.”
