Rohit Sharma is set to miss warm up game against New Zealand
The warm up games provide teams with a brilliant opportunity to test out different combinations in pre tournament conditions, and figure out what their best XI would look like. The Indian side last played a One Day game in close to 4 months back, when they faced England in India. The warm up games would have been viewed as the perfet opportunity to give this ODI deprived side a good hit in the middle, but things aren’t exactly going according to plan
Yuvraj Singh was ruled out of the first game due to illness and it has been reported that Rohit Sharma is still in India, attending a wedding ceremony. The BCCI has given special permission to Rohit Sharma to attend the wedding ceremony.

Rohit will join the team on Sunday night, after attending the function, and will be available for selection for the Bangladesh game on 30th May.
Yuvraj Singh is battling with an illness, and wouldn’t be able to feature against the Kiwis today. But it looks likely that he’ll feature against Bangladesh as well.
“There are no major health concerns and he is recuperating well, to the satisfaction of the medical team.” stated the media release of BCCI.
India will take on Pakistan in their tournament opener on June 4.
