KKR vs DC 2019

KKR vs DC 2019: The Sportsrush presents before you three intriguing player battles ahead of the 26th match of IPL 2019.

The closest match in this IPL was played by these 2 teams when they met each other in a Super Over at the Feroz Shah Kotla a couple of weeks back. The Knight Riders would want to use their home advantage to make DC bite the dust.

After a good start, KKR have hit a roadblock and would like to quickly move on to this match and put in a compelling performance to remain in the top 2.

Delhi Capitals will take heart from the fact that they had dominated KKR the last time and would love to replicate that performance.

DC need to win this one to move up the ladder and stay ahead in the race for a crucial playoffs berth. The Eden pitch is expected to suit their batsmen and pacers as well. This may tilt the game towards the Capitals.

Let us have a look at some of the exciting player battles on display tonight:

Prasidh Krishna vs Shreyas Iyer

The Delhi skipper has been in fine form in the tournament. He has been instrumental in some of the wins and has already scored 215 runs. He has led from the front and would look to continue doing that. However, Prasidh Krishna, the tall lanky pacer, may have some interesting plans for Iyer.

Krishna can get the ball to bounce and swing at express pace. This might bring the downfall of Iyer con sidering he has struggled at times with such deliveries. Krishna has been excellent this season and it is highly likely that he will get the better of the DC captain this time.

Kuldeep Yadav vs Rishabh Pant

These 2 players are the upcoming superstars of Indian cricket. Despite being great friends on the field, when they face each other at the Eden Gardens, there is bound to be sparks flying everywhere. In the first leg in this IPL, Kuldeep managed to win the battle and picked up Pant’s wicket.

Pant would be itching to give it back to the chinaman bowler while Kuldeep will love to make it 2 out of 2 against his mate.

Andre Russell vs Kagiso Rabada

Andre Russell has been at his devastating best in this IPL but the only time he looked in trouble was against Kagiso Rabada during the Super Over wherein Rabada aimed for Andre’s feet and delivered the perfect unplayable yorkers.

DC would be depending on Rabada to stop the Russell show and crumble the KKR batting line-up which is excessively dependent on the big man. It will be exciting to see if Russell has some counter against those deadly Rabada yorkers.
