Indian Captain Virat Kohli and veteran keeper-batsman MS Dhoni  threaten to break several records in the 1st India-England T20I.

India won comfortably in the two match T20I series against Ireland which brought expected results. The Ireland team was expected to at least put up a fight but they failed as India registered comprehensive victories in back to back matches.

Now is the time for the real challenge against England. Interestingly, though, several records will also be on the line as the two teams clash. Especially, the two mainstays of the Indian batting line up – Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni– will have their sight on several monumental records.

Indian Captain Virat Kohli requires only eight more runs to become the fastest cricketer and first Indian to score 2000 runs in T20I cricket. The skipper has been a part of 55 T20Is hitherto and piled up 1992 runs at 48.58.

Rohit Sharma too needs just 51 more runs more to achieve the feat of 2000 T20I runs. Rohit Sharma has already hit more than 300  sixes in T20 cricket. Suresh Raina needs to hit only two more sixes to reach 300 sixes in T20 cricket.

Just a couple of days back Pakistani veteran batsman Shoaib Malik has entered the 2000-run club. Malik achieved the milestone against Zimbabwe in a match at the Harare sports club as part of the T20I tri-series being played between Australia, Pakistan and Zimbabwe.

Kohli also needs to smash just seven more fours to surpass Mohd Shahzad of Afghanistan to acquire the second place on the list of most fours in the history of T20I cricket.

Former Indian Captain MS Dhoni needs to affect just two more stumpings to reach the top spot on the list of most stumpings in T20I cricket.

Dhoni needs to clobber just three more sixes to reach 50 sixes in T20I cricket. The keeper-batsman is just 45 runs away from scoring 1500 T20I runs.
