Kohli on Karun Nair’s exclusion: The Indian captain was vocal about Karun Nair’s exclusion from the Test side ahead of the series vs West Indies.

After being unfairly dropped from the Indian Test team, it seems as if there is no stopping the opinions on Karun Nair’s exclusion. The 26-year old right-hand batsman was included in the squad for the England tour only to see Hanuma Vihari (brought mid-way in the series) given a go ahead of him and him getting dropped for the subsequent series.
Expecting an explanation from the concerned individuals, numerous former cricketers have advocated for Nair in this whole farce. Chief selector MSK Prasad had recently commented on giving an unpleasant news to a player is a hard job.
During a press conference ahead of the first Test against West Indies at Rajkot, Kohli was asked the same. Kohli was of the opinion that it is the selectors’ job and that he can’t speak about it at all. “It’s not my place to say because there are three selectors doing their job. Again, as I said, people conveniently converge everything and make it a circle where everyone is doing their job and not focusing on what people are saying on the outside,” Kohli was quoted,
Kohli further added he isn’t at the helm regarding everything which happens in Indian cricket. He said, “If person has spoke about a certain thing, it should be clear then. It shouldn’t be brought in here again. There are three guys doing the job of selecting a team and the chief selector has already spoken to the player [of what I know]. I don’t think I am in a place to comment about that because selection is not my part of the job.
“It’s upon three individuals to do what they are doing and then as a team we have to do what we are doing. The confusion right now is that people are combining everything in one space and thinking everything is happening from one place which is not true and the selector has already clarified that. I don’t think I’m in a place to speak about that.”

Here is the perception problem.
Career TOTAL test runs of
MSK Prasad = 106
Devang Gandhi = 204
Karun Nair’s high score in one inning = 303

Have the selectors treated the likes of KL Rahul, Karun Nair, Manish Pandey and Mayank Agarwal unfairly? https://t.co/Vk2tgqr1Sp

Karun Nair sits out 6 Tests
Misses out on India A
Overlooked for Vihari (who is picked for India A scores)
Nair is dropped for WI Tests and has no fc cricket to win his spot back till Nov
So he misses playing v Eng, WI and Aus (?) with no chance to prove himself
