Kumar Sangakara does not select Sachin Tendulkar in his all-time XI

Cricket has produced some extra ordinary legends who have earned a reputed fan base worldwide. Sri Lanka legend Kumar Sangakkara picked up his favourite playing XI that includes some top quality cricketers.

Four Aussies, three Sri Lankans, one player from India, South Africa, West Indies, Pakistan made the cut into Sangakkara’s choices.

Kumar Sangakkara found Rahul Dravid as the better asset ahead of greatest Indian players like Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, Virat Kohli.

Matthew Hayden donned the yellow colours as a prolific opener and according to Sangakkara, Hayden would open alongside Rahul Dravid.

The Windies wizard Brian Lara would come in as No.3 whereas Australian batting great Ricky Ponting steals the No.4 spot ahead of Sachin Tendulkar.

There was some tough nut to crack  between Aravinda de Silva and Mahela Jayawardene but Aravinda de Silva aced as team captain.

Jacques Kallis is by far the best all-rounder the sport has ever seen and without any surprises, he found a place in the playing XI at No.6 slot.

Aussies great Adam Gilchrist who takes the No.7 slot would go down as the best wicketkeeper batsman according to former wicketkeeper-batsman Kumar Sangakkara.

Both the legendary leg spin and off spin bowlers Shane Warne and Muttiah Muralitharan find themselves at No.8 and No.9 respectively may what be the conditions.

Wasim Akram, the lone Pakistani makes the cut in No.10 spot. Glenn McGrath and Chaminda Vaas were in contention for the No.11 slot. But, Sangakkara went for Chaminda Vaas ahead of Glenn McGrath.
