Lewis Hamilton wasn’t a very happy man after the Belgian GP, as the Brit had to settle for 2nd spot, despite having started on pole.
Lap 1 turned out to be the most eventful at Spa, as a Hulkenberg mistake wiped out a large part of that midfield group.
However, the championship related action happened away from that crash, with Vettel overtaking Hamilton just before the safety car was deployed.
Ever since then, Vettel and Ferrari kept their composure and the lead, right till the finish line.
Vettel was ecstatic after the win and thanked his team for their efforts all through the weekend.
Hamilton too congratulated Seb and said that he went through him on the straight like he wasn’t even there.
HAMILTON: “Congratulations to Seb. I did everything I could. He drove past me like I wasn’t there on the straights”

Hamilton was also quick to say that Ferrari had interesting tricks in the car, a statement that has once again triggered the debate about Hamilton suggesting that Ferrari had somehow found a loophole in the system.
However, he did not quite explicitly say anything controversial and was very calm and composed after the loss.
D C calling Lewis Hamilton a good sportsman is a complete joke and he should be embarrassed. I’ve never seen Lewis gracious in defeat.calling Ferrari win today, TRICKY is as low as he can go. #SPA #F1

Hamilton asked if he was surprised by Vettel’s Lap 1 overtake: “I knew that was going to happen, so it’s not a surprise” #F1 #BelgianGP 🇧🇪

Hamilton doing it again, first with the “interesting tactics” now with “tricky things”. #F1 #belgiangp

Also irritating to see Hamilton branding Ferrari’s speed ‘tricky’. Like it’s unheard of to be outdeveloped after four straight years of utter domination. #F1 #BelgianGP

Hamilton said Ferrari are doing something “tricky”. Haven’t seen a bigger loser than him. #BelgianGP
