Barcelona Vs Liverpool: Messi moves the ball closer to goal before the free-kick

Lionel Messi: Barcelona star moves the ball closer to goal before the free-kick vs Liverpool while scoring a world class goal that shocked the football fraternity.

The most anticipated match of the Champions league this season was a one-sided affair in the first leg of the semi-final tie. Barcelona outclassed Liverpool last night and are now one step closer to their Champions league finale in Madrid.

The match was historical itself as Lionel Messi scored his 6ooth goal for Barcelona, on the same date when he scored his first goal for his childhood club 14 years ago. It was the perfect way to achieve such a colossal feat as he scored a marvelous 35-yard free-kick.

However, it was observed that the Argentine international was quite devious to place the ball a few inches ahead to get the perfect angle towards the goal, while Barcelona players surrounded the referee to protest against Fabhino’s foul against Messi.

The few inches gap does not take any credit away from Messi for the sensational goal, but the position of the ball certainly helped the Barcelona captain to make the headlines today.

What’s next for Barcelona

Barcelona will march to Anfield next week with full confidence with a 3-goal lead against the reds. However, they need to be cautious as they bottled a similar advantage against Roma last season and Liverpool has the potential to overturn the result at Anfield.
