EL Clasico 2019 Date: Barcelona vs Real Madrid postponed, two new dates being proposed

The club is eager to once again indulge in the services of its old striker

Although the international break can see a slew of unsubstantiated and bemusing rumours spring up, Liverpool’s current interest in Luis Suarez looks to hold value.

Liverpool Interested In Suarez

Spanish outlet, Fichajes.net has gone onto claim that the Premier League side is monitoring their previous striker with the club extremely eager to once again link up with Suarez. The club is said to be bracing up for the departure of Mohamed Salah, an exit which could trigger the club to swoop in for Suarez.

Despite being 34 years old, Suarez is showing that he’s far from finished as a footballer. After being let go by Barcelona, the striker has spearheaded Atletico Madrid attack this term, scoring on 19 occasions in 25 outings to emerge as the club’s top scorer.

His electric displays this season have seen Jurgen Klopp identify him as a replacement for Salah. Salah is said to be bereaved this season with the player looking far from his usual self this term.

The player not only talked about his desire to play in the La Liga this campaign but has also looked irate on a couple of occasions upon being substituted. Salah was seen storming away from the pitch in disgust after being asked to come off midway by Klopp despite Liverpool chasing a deficit.

Klopp had tried to pour cold water over the situation as he alluded his decision to Salah looking knackered.

“When the boy looks disappointed that is not a problem,” Klopp said.

“The reason for the sub was – and I could have changed others as well, that is true – but he looked in that moment like he was feeling the intensity really. It is really rare, I have known Mo long enough now and he usually looks surprisingly fresh until the end and I thought that was a sign.

“In our situation I didn’t want to risk it and that is it.

“The last two or three years have nothing to do with that but it’s just you have these moments and if you can react you react. That is all.”
