Man United Transfer News: Manchester United set eye on young Arsenal star midfielder

Man United Transfer News: Manchester United has shown interest in Arsenal’s Matteo Guendouzi, who signalled his intentions of leaving Emirates.

Manchester United is looking to bolster their midfield ahead of the start of the new season and the Red Devils are seeing a Matteo Guendouzi as a suitable prospect.

According to a report by GetFootballNewsFrance, Manchester United along with several other big clubs have reportedly shown interest in the French midfielder after reports of him plotting a move away from Arsenal started circulating.

As per L’Equipe, Guendouzi and the London club’s board took the opportunity jointly during an internal discipline meeting, triggered by the player’s conduct involving Neal Maupay in a Premier League game vs Brighton last weekend, to discuss the French youth international’s future at the club more widely.

In the meeting, the 21-year-old footballer hasn’t opposed to the idea of changing sides and would be ready for a departure if a lucrative offer knocks his door.

Apparently, Guendouzi is not satisfied with the number of minutes he has been receiving under the manager Mikel Arteta ever since the Spaniard took the charge of the club.

Guendouzi who joined Arsenal from a Ligue 2 side in 2018 saw a meteoric rise under manager Unai Emery has been out of favours with the former.

Therefore, Manchester United has put the Frenchman under their radar, but no way it is clear whether Ole Solskjaer could promise him the minutes he’s desiring since Manchester United is on the verge of extending the stay of Paul Pogba.

Wheres, Scott McTominay, Fred and Nemanja Matic have been impressive this season, hence, it doesn’t clarify where Guendouzi will be in the pecking order if he joins the rival club.
