Man United Transfer News: Tottenham Hotspur declares to not transfer Harry Kane in the coming transfer window; ends Manchester United’s pursuit.
Manchester United was keen on hiring the services of Harry lane in the coming transfer window, but their Premier League rivals have signalled that they are not willing to sell him.
According to a report by the Skysports, Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is willing to sanction Kane’s departure to United for a world-record fee of £200m because of financial worries during the coronavirus crisis.
The amount is itself is outrageous and hard to match, as football experts are already assuming that no club would be having enough financial backing to match the price.
Spurs’ stadium cost around £1bn and the pandemic is set to have grave financial repercussions on all Premier League clubs, with Tottenham earlier also opted to furlough its non-playing staff but now backtracked after a severe protest.
Meanwhile, Kane recently was vocal about his future and said that he is ready to make a move away from the North London club if his side doesn’t match his aspirations and expectations while talking to Jamie Redknapp on Instagram Live.
“It’s one of those things, I couldn’t say yes, I couldn’t say no. I love Spurs, I’ll always love Spurs. But it’s one of those things – I’ve always said if I don’t feel we’re progressing as a team or going in the right direction, then I’m not someone to just stay there for the sake of it,” he told Redknapp.
“I’m an ambitious player, I want to improve, I want to get better, I want to become one of the top, top players. It all depends on what happens as a team and how we progress as a team. So it’s not a definite I’m going to stay there forever – but it’s not a no either.”
