Man Utd Europa League Fixtures 2019/20: Who will Manchester United face in the Europa league group stage in the 2019/20 season?

Manchester United are back in the Europa League after their failure to finish in the top 4 in the Premier League last season. They last played the Europa in the 2016/17 season when they won the competition. They will now once again compete in Europe’s second tier despite reaching the Champions League Quarter-finals last season.

The last time they played the Europa league, Manchester United came out victorious. They will hope to emulate their performance once again. After all, winning the competition will guarantee them a Champions League spot.

In recent times, the Premier League has become much more competitive with the big 4 now becoming the top 6. Therefore, having the Europa as an alternative method to reach the Champion’s league is not the worst thing in the world.

Manchester United have been drawn in group L. The other teams in their group are FC Astana, Partizan Belgrade and AZ Alkmaar.

In the pre-season, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said of the competition:

“We see Europa League as a great opportunity to both give youngsters playing time but also it’s a chance to win a trophy.”

“We’re going to go all out to try to win it because it’s a big trophy.”

The Europa league will begin on 19th September. The Group Stage will conclude on the 12th of December. While the knockout stages will begin from 16th December. The tournament will conclude next year on 27th May at the Stadion Energa Gdansk, Gdansk, Poland.
