Man Utd predicted XI vs Crystal Palace: As Manchester United suffers from an injury-crisis, how could they line up against Palace?
Manchester United could be without 10 first-team stars as the side takes on Crystal Palace in the mid-week fixture on Wednesday.
Solskjaer even cheekily addressed the possibility of him donning the United jersey for the game.
While he suggested that a few U23 stars could play a role against Palace, he also insisted that Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku have a chance to prove their mettle.
All of Manchester United’s first-choice attackers are out with injury. In the midfield, only Paul Pogba is the sole fit first-team starter. Nemanja Matic suffered an injury prior to the game against Liverpool, while Ander Herrera was substituted with muscle problem during the game.
As Manchester United faces a selection headache for the Palace clash, we take a look at what could be their predicted XI be.
Man Utd predicted XI vs Crystal Palace:
Goalkeeper: David De Gea
Thankfully, for Manchester United, he’s still fit. De Gea didn’t have much to do during the game against Liverpool. However, with a depleted United side in an away game at Selhurst Park, De Gea’s presence would be key.
Defence: Young, Smalling, Lindelof, Shaw
Solskjaer is expected to play a similar back four to the game against Liverpool. Phil Jones may have made a comeback to replace Chris Smalling, but he is ruled out of the game due to illness.

Victor Lindelof and Luke Shaw have been brilliant in the North-West Derby, with the latter being awarded the Man of the Match as well.
Midfield: McTominay, Fred, Pogba
This is where things get a little tricky. Ander Herrera and Nemanja Matic have been excellent ever since the arrival of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and their sudden injuries worsened the situation.
However, McTominay and Andreas Pereira performed brilliantly for the side against Liverpool, which raises hopes for Solskjaer as he looks forward to the PSG clash.
Nevertheless, we believe it’s time for Fred to be finally unleashed. The Brazilian midfielder has had limited game time and will be hoping for some first-team action. As the PSG game closes on, Solskjaer will be excited to test his bench strength this week.
Attack: Andreas Pereira, Lukaku, Sanchez
Andreas Pereira can play centrally in a diamond formation as Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez lead the attack against Palace.
Manchester United could be without up to nine senior players against Crystal Palace. so Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has challenged Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez to “step up.”
