Man Utd Transfer News: Solskjaer declines swap deal for Nemanja Matic suggesting that the defensive midfielder may be an integral part of the Norwegians plans for United.
Manchester United were reportedly offered Radja Nainggolan plus cash by Inter Milan for their Serbian Midfielder Nemanja Matic. However, Solksjaer has rejected the move leading to speculations that the Defensive midfielder may be an intrinsic component of the United Boss’ plans for a reformed United this season.

The news was reported by Duncan James through the Transfer Window Podcast where they also said that AC Milan are also interested in the Serb. New Inter Boss reportedly wants to offload both Nainggolan and Mauro Icardi.
The club has publicly announced that these two players are not part of the managers plans. The Italian club are hoping to use them as leverage in getting Nemanja Matic and Romelu Lukaku from Manchester United. However, the English side has rejected both offers. While United are open to letting Lukaku go, as long as their asking price of £75 million.
Matic or Nainggolan?
Manchester United signed Matic for £40 million in August 2017. He was handed a 3-year deal to stay at Old Trafford. he 30-year-old has featured in 187 Premier League appearances. He has scored six goals and nicked 18 assists. Off the 187 appearances, 87 of them have come while playing for United, scoring and assisting 3 times each in the process.
Nainggolan and Matic are both the same age. Some will argue that Nainggolan is a better player than Matic. However, there is a reason Inter do not want him in their fold. Nainggolan is considered a toxic player to have in your squad. In comparison, Matic comes without the drama and can be a great mentor and an exemplary asset to have in a team with many youngsters.
