Manchester Cricket Ground weather on July 9 Tuesday: What is the weather forecast for India vs New Zealand semi-final match at Old Trafford

The first semi-final between India and New Zealand of the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, will take place at The Old Trafford Stadium in Manchester on July 9. Cricket fans from across the globe will have a keen eye on this contest as it will decide which team becomes the first to advance for the summit clash for the World Champion title.

The league match between India and the Kiwis, which was supposed to take place on June 13, was unfortunately washed-off due to rain. The match was to be played at Nottingham. However, both the teams did lock horns in the during the warm-up match where New Zealand handed India a heavy loss.

India vs New Zealand Weather forecast

In what might come as a bad news for the fans just alike the league stage, the semi-finals between these two teams too, is expected to be affected by rain which is again expected to play a spoilsport. As per the Britain weather forecast, there will be decent cloud cover the entire Tuesday with non continuous rains at intervals.

There are 60% chances of rainfall during daytime, with precise forecast being- various clouds and a couple of showers. During night time, the precipitation percentage increases to 67, with expected constant drizzles.

Weather forecast for the reserve day

If God forbid the match between India and New Zealand is washed-off due to rain on Tuesday, there are provisions for a reserve day, which will take place on the very next day (Wednesday).

Although the bad news is that, there are even more chances of rain at The Old Trafford on Wednesday, with 63% chances of rain and a couple of showers expected during the daytime.

In case, both the days are marred by unstoppable rain and subsequent improper playing condition, it will be Team India who would march-on towards the mega Finals of the World Cup, being the table toppers after the league stage with 15 points.
