Manchester United and Chelsea receive major transfer boost with the recent statement made by Erik Ten Hag’s claim over his players’ future.
Ajax manager Erik Ten Hag dropped a heavy transfer boost to Chelsea and Manchester United after he announced that three key players from his squad – Andre Onana, Donny van de Beek and Nicolas Tagliafico might leave the club this summer.
“The transfer market will start in August – the top leagues are now being played out, so the money flows are maintained,” Ten Hag told Het Parool.
“The market value of players will be slightly depressed, but not much. Based on their performance and ambition, a number of our players also want to make the move abroad.
“For Onana and Van de Beek, another year of Ajax could certainly be an option, for Tagliafico it is slightly different because of his age.” he further said.
Andre Onana has been rumoured to replace Kepa Arrizabalaga, who has been very underwhelming for manager Frank Lampard. Whereas, Tagliafico is heavily linked with the Blues, as they are looking for an upgrade at the position of left-back.
Meanwhile, Manchester United is fully dedicated to land Van De Beek at the Old Trafford, but in this transfer pursuit, they are facing a challenge from Real Madrid, who are also interested.
Onana and Tagliafico are comparatively economical buys for Chelsea, whereas Van De Beek has been financially rated higher by the Dutch club and would probably cost a lot to the Red Devils.
