With the Premier League season finally upon us, managers all over the country will be keenly watching their team’s performances over the next couple of matches.
In case somethings are not going to plan, he transfer window provides teams with an opportunity to make a few additions to squad, before the the deadline ends this month.
One such manager would be Jose Mourinho. The United boss is under pressure to perform this season, as he is expected to at least challenge for the title this season.
After a disappointing sixth place finish last year, United will be looking to perform much better this time around, after they invested heavily in their squad this summer.
Jose wants to increase United’s strength in depth, as he is looking to snap up Spanish midfielder, Sergio Roberto. The versatile Catalan has been a critical member of this Barcelona side over the past few seasons.
A midfielder by trade, Roberto has proved that he is equally capable of playing as a wing back, after he racked up 47 appearances for Barcelona in defense last year.

Mourinho considers him an extremely versatile player who could prove to be very useful in the season. Jose also knows that Roberto has a 40 million release clause, which is quite reasonable in today’s market.
Sergio is currently not in the starting line up for Barca, after he was displaced by summer signing Nelson Samedo. His future is in limbo right now, which makes him an even more attractive player to buy.
With the likes of Chelsea and Juventus also in the mix, Jose will have to act fast if he needs to win Roberto’s signature.
