Manager Jose Mourinho provides Manchester United team news vs Valencia, as he attempts to bring the club’s season back on track.
Manchester United are enduring a difficult season in the Premier League, as they find themselves at 10th position with only 10 points from seven matches. The club lost 3-1 to West Ham in the weekend, after a controversial week which saw Mourinho and Pogba arguing in the training session.
Jose Mourinho’s side has lost three matches in the Premier League this season, and were knocked out in their opening fixture of the Carabao Cup by the lower-league side, Derby County.
The manager, however, insisted that he believes in his players and the team will do its best when they take on Valencia.
The club’s midfielder, Nemanja Matic, also echoed the sentiments of the supporters as he spoke to media for the pre-match conference.
In the press conference, Jose Mourinho stated that the players have worked hard after the defeat. “I see different reactions, but sometimes what you see is different from the inside. You see some people on the outside look like they haven’t lost a game, but in training they are working hard,” said Mourinho.
Nemanja Matic tells #MUTV: “We share the responsibility with the manager. Players who are more experienced take more responsibility because we are expected to lead the team. I know we haven’t played well and we will try to do better as soon as possible.” #MUFC #UCL

“The reason why we don’t win matches is the same as why we win matches. It’s down to everybody. The performance on the pitch is down to many factors.”
Mourinho also provided an update on the team for the match against Valencia.

“It’s a big week. Everyone wants to play [in the] Champions League, not everyone can do it. So we are here and we have the chance to play a big match. So, big match, big week.”
Manchester United registered a thumping 3-0 victory in their first round of the group stage of the Champions League against Young Boys. Jose Mourinho’s side will face Juventus in the third game-week, which would see the return of the club’s former player, Cristiano Ronaldo.
