Manchester United Transfer News: Man United bid €40 million for Ligue 1 midfielder

Manchester United Transfer News: Man United bids €40 million for Ligue 1 midfielder Youri Tielemans despite contrary reports on Sunday.

Manchester United are looking for immediate midfield reinforcements, as they need to bolster their squad after the departure of Ander Herrera, and speculations of Paul Pogba leaving for Real Madrid are also rising.

Thus, Manchester United view Youri Tielemans as the viable option in the midfield. Hence, according to a report by the DH, Manchester United have officially made a bid of €40 million for the Belgian International.

It is surprising because Manchester United on Sunday reportedly decided to not further negotiate for the 22-year-old midfielder, as they wanted to seek other prospects in the market.

Tielemans, who came to the Premier league on a loan move from Monaco, impressed through his exploits with Leicester City. Thus, his exhibits has aroused interests from several clubs.

On the other side, Monaco are reportedly ready to send the Belgian midfielder on a €40 million move, and in earlier reports offered the player to Manchester United too.

However, the Red Devils initially refused the proposal by the Ligue 1 club, but it seems since Pogba’s transfer fiasco is intensifying since French International’s statement. Manchester United might have opted to reignite their interests in Tielemans.

On the other side, Manchester United face a challenge from Leicester City, who want to keep the player on permanent basis at the club, after his successful loan spell.

For now, it is remained to see a response from Monaco for the alleged offer made by the Red Devils for the 22-year-old sensation.
