Manchester United Transfer News: Tottenham plot ambitious move for £80 million rated Man Utd target

Tottenham Hotspur are preparing an extraordinary bid in the hopes of luring Paulo Dybala from Turin.

Tottenham Hotspur are plotting an ambitious move for £80 million rated Juventus forward Paulo Dybala.

The Argentine international endured a difficult time since Cristiano Ronaldo’s arrival last summer. The 25-year-old is considered as one of the most sought forwards, but managed to bag just 10 goals under Allegri.

To worsen things, new manager Maurizio Sarri has reportedly told the forward that he has to fight for a place in the starting eleven, meaning that he would not be an automatic starter regardless of his quality. This has cast doubt over Dybala’s long-term future, who is considering his position at the club.

Mauricio Pochettino, who learnt his compatriot’s conundrum at the club, has plotted an extraordinary £80 million bid and has made an enquiry to the Italian Champions, according to football.london. Juventus are yet to respond, but it would churn out to be a staggering deal for Spurs, should the transfer go through.

The Champions League runners-up are wary that it would require their Chairman Daniel Levy to break the club’s transfer record for the second time in a window to land him. Earlier this month, Spurs welcomed Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon for a club-record fee of £63 million.

Vincent Janssen and Fernando Llorente, who left the club this summer, failed to live up to their belief as a perfect backup to Harry Kane. This has forced the Spurs boss to deploy either Lucas Moura or Heung Min Son through the middle. Since Dybala has the capability to thrive either through the middle or the right wing, Mauricio Pochettino sees this as an ideal time to reinforce the forward department.

Spurs have taken their first step towards his signature, but they have to wind off interest from Bayern Munich, Paris Saint Germain, and Manchester United. The trio has shown interest in the forward previously, although they are yet to make a decision this summer.

What’s next?

If Spurs manage to land Paulo Dybala, the London club will be anticipated to fight for the Premier League this season.
