Manchester United vs Bournemouth highlights: Manchester United cruised to their third successive victory under Solskjaer.
Manchester United continued on their brilliant form as they outclassed Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth 4-1.
Paul Pogba opened the scoring through a terrific assist from Marcus Rashford, before bagging a brace through a brilliant header.
Marcus Rashford scored at the closing stages of first half. Even when Nathan Ake pulled one back for Bournemouth in the final seconds of the first 45 minutes, Bournemouth were unable to build on to the momentum.
Romelu Lukaku scored 130 seconds after coming on as a substitute for Marcus Rashford, and hence scoring his 7th league goal of the season.
With this win, Manchester United are now only three points behind Arsenal, who are fifth in the table.
Here’s how Twitter reacted to United’s win:
Timely reminder that Paul Pogba won the World Cup, came back to play for United without any pre season & has contributed 15 G+A this season – more than any other midfielder in Europe.
Put some respect on his name. pic.twitter.com/HJMqRoUh52

Fair play. Bailly saw Fellaini about to come on. Two foots someone and Fellaini sits down. Team player.

Apparently the mood has changed at Old Trafford – just in case anyone has neglected to mention it.

Plenty of Reds were writing Rashford off last season. Some even wanted him gone. Some of us insisted he’s a talent. Some of us were keen to see him played upfront. Now we are seeing why #MUFC

Great ball from pogba and pleased Rom got his goal. Gonna have to keep doing this and more to usurp Rashford. Just superb from Pogba though. What a pass.

Rashford, Martial, Lingard, Pogba streaming forward at pace is a beautiful sight. Two academy products as well (three if you count Pogba which I probably would but we also let him go and then signed him back).

Rashford off with Lukaku replacing him. It’s been an outstanding centre-forward’s performance from the England striker – chased down everything, run the channels, held up the ball well, created the first brilliantly, finished the third just as well #mufc

Magnificent performance from @paulpogba in this game. Not only has his passing been divine but he looks a constant threat now that the shackles are off this @ManUtd side.

Just worked out on a scientific calculator I got for Christmas that if MUFC continue the form of Solskjaer’s first games, they’ll be European and world champions this time next year, with 452 goals for and 269 against. And Pogba will own a golden boot/shoe/slipper/clog thing.

Pogba had the most goals, shots, shots on targets, chances created and assists (equal) on the pitch vs Bournemouth #mulive [sky]
