Matteo Guendouzi Transfer News: Mikel Arteta speaks on transfer speculations of Guendouzi amid Man Utd interests

Matteo Guendouzi Transfer News: Arsenal manager breaks silence on rumours around Guendouzi’s departure amidst Manchester United interest.

On Friday, news reports of Matteo Guendouzi declaring himself ready to leave Arsenal during a disciplinary meeting with the board, stirred the transfer stories in the market.

Shortly after this update, Mikel Arteta has broken silence on this subject and has refused to confirm or deny if Matteo Guendouzi has a long-term future at Arsenal.

Speaking ahead of the FA Cup quarter-final tie against Sheffield United, Arteta once again reiterated that the club will deal with Guendouzi following his incident with Neal Maupay last weekend.

“Whatever internal issues we have we will deal with privately,” the Spaniard told reporters. But will Guendouzi definitely be an Arsenal player next season?

“All the players that are here, I’m counting on them. If they want to jump on the boat, they are more than welcome and that’s always my mindset,” Arteta responded. “I’m here to help all of them improve individually and collectively and that is my job.”

The transfer tensions initially erupted when Guendouzi was not included in the squad that played in 2-0 win against Southampton at St. Mary’s Park on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Manchester United has also shown interest in the French midfielder as they got aware of his possible availability this summer. It has been also reported that Guendouzi is unhappy with the restricted number of minutes he has been receiving under Arteta.

On the other hand, A report in France on Friday morning has claimed that the Gunners have told the 21-year-old that he will be allowed to leave the club if they receive a €40million offer.

It remains to be seen whether Manchester United and other interested clubs can capitalise on this opportunity, but over here Arteta has directly signalled that Guendouzi is up for grabs this summer.
