Matthijs De Ligt Transfer: Cristiano Ronaldo urges Ajax captain to join Juventus

Matthijs De Ligt Transfer: Cristiano Ronaldo urges Ajax Captain De Ligt to join Juventus amidst interest from several clubs this summer.

Matthijs De Ligt reportedly spoke to Cristiano Ronaldo about his future following Netherlands’ defeat against Portugal in the final of UEFA Nations league last night.

Further, the 19-year-old player has claimed that the Portuguese legend gave him some serious transfer advice, while urging him to join Juventus ahead of next season.

The Old lady is another club, who are keen on hiring the services of De Ligt among several other interested parties, especially, Barcelona, Liverpool and Manchester United.

However, it seems that Cristiano Ronaldo is  is doing his utmost to put his side in the driving seat this summer. According to Dutch publication NOS, De Ligt confirmed that Ronaldo had instructed him to join Juventus during their brief chat.

“That could well be true. What I answered? I didn’t understand him at first. So I said… no, I didn’t say anything.” said De Ligt

“I was a bit shocked, that’s why I laughed. But I didn’t say anything. Just after the game you just feel bad that you’ve lost, that’s all you’re thinking about.” he further added.

Meanwhile, Barcelona and Manchester United are stuck to finalize a deal with the 19-year-old player’s agent, as both the clubs are not willing to match the massive demands by the player.

Nevertheless, it is still remained to see, where will De Ligt associate himself in coming days, as his transfer sage fires up.
