Mesut Ozil has had a disappointing afternoon against Everton as the midfielder was subbed off in the second half. He was also seen throwing his jacket in frustration.
Mesut Ozil was impressive for Arsenal in the last few games, but failed to step up for the side against Everton.
Arsenal’s poor run in the away games continued at the Goodison Park, as the side conceded a stunning defeat to Everton in the Premier League.
Phil Jagielka scored the only goal of the game in the first half as Arsenal failed to penetrate through the Everton defence. The hosts also had more shots on Arsenal’s goal, as they threatened the Arsenal defenders throughout the game.
Mesut Ozil was substituted in the second half owing to disappointing performance, and decided to vent his frustration by throwing his jacket.

The tensions grew on the touchline during the final stages of the game as Arsenal desperately attempted to find an equalizer.
Unai Emery and Marco Silva had a war of words, and Mesut Ozil, who had just come off as a substitute, couldn’t hold his anger. The former German international proceeded to throw his jacket towards the touchline, seemingly at the place where Emery and Silva were arguing.
The fans have since begun speculating about the Ozil’s intended target.

With this loss, Arsenal conceded a huge opportunity to enter the top-3 once again, as the side had a game’s advantage over Tottenham and Chelsea.
The side received a further setback in the game as Sokratis picked up a yellow card and now faces a two-match suspension. Even when Arsenal don’t have to play a top-6 side anymore, the side has four away games left in this season.
How Twitter reacted..
Ozil throwing his coat at Marco Silva? No wonder Emery gave him the captain’s armband.
