MI vs CSK Dream 11 Prediction: Dream 11 Fantasy Tips for MI vs CSK

MI vs CSK Dream 11 Prediction: Dream 11 Fantasy Tips for MI vs CSK as The SportsRush helps you make the best possible Dream 11 team.

The biggest rivalry in IPL comes to the fore on Wednesday, a day after Indian cricket’s most memorable night at the same venue where MI vs CSK would unfold on Wednesday night.

These two franchises have the best history in the IPL and some of the most celebrated T20 stars in the world. Rest assured, the Wankhede is going to be buzzing tomorrow.

CSK are coming off the back of 3 wins in 3 games, whereas MI are struggling for momentum, having won just 1 off their 3 games. Playing at home, Rohit Sharma and co. would be hoping that the crowd can help them get over the line against their arch-rivals.

Let’s get to business now.

MI vs CSK Dream 11 Prediction

Wicketkeeper

For the wicketkeeping slot, it is going to be a direct shootout between Quinton de Kock and MS Dhoni. While MS Dhoni is coming off a match winning knock against, I would still have to go in with QDK, largely because of his batting position.

Dhoni has been batting at number 5 and while he did get ample time to bat in the last game in Chennai, he might not get to do so in Mumbai, as the top order could fire on that flat road at the Wankhede.

Quinton de Kock has been in great form for South Africa and has been hitting the ball really well in the IPL this season too. While he hasn’t really set the IPL on fire as of now, a big, big knock is just round the corner. Get him in.

Bowlers

Jasprit Bumrah would be first pick for this game. 2 overs at the death, with the quality that he possesses, one would be foolish to leave him out.

Mitch McCleneghan has been one of the best ‘fantasy players’ of all time, picking up wickets despite being a little on the expensive side. And when economy rate doesn’t really cause a lot of issue in Dream 11, you can go after Mitch without being too concerned about how expensive he could be on a given night.

Imran Tahir has been CSK’s best bowler until now this season. His trickery and experience have helped him get past the batsman’s defences on multiple occasions and could wreak havoc at the Wankhede on Wednesday. Going by current form, get him in at all costs.

For the last bowling pick, I would be getting in Harbhajan Singh, the MI veteran who moved to CSK last season. While he was dropped in the last CSK game, I expect him to make his return against MI, as he knows the conditions and the opposition really well.

Also, with MI having 4 left handers in their top 8, Harbhajan Singh could get some scalps under his belt.

All-Rounders

Hardik Pandya has shown why he is one of the key players for India’s world cup dream in England. He chips in with the ball at important moments during the game, but most importantly, he uses the long handle to good effect during the death overs, upping the ante for MI and taking them way over their projected total.

Dwayne Bravo’s role in the CSK setup is enough to warrant him a place in my side. 3 overs at the death when the batsmen are trying to attack him; Bravo knows how to use his slower one’s to help him to a couple of wickets at the death. Also, he too can use the long handle to good effect and could be used by CSK to up the ante with the bat towards the end, if CSK bat first.

Batsmen

Rohit Sharma was getting into the groove in the game vs KXIP, having been wrongly adjudged LBW. The MI captain is working his way into form and could come good against a fragile CSK bowling unit.

Suresh Raina has been knocking away the runs for CSK at the top of the order, as both Watson and Rayudu have failed to get the team off to quick starts this season. Amongst all the CSK batsmen, he looks like the one in good form going into this game and batting at number 3, gives himself ample opportunity to help himself to some important runs.

Suryakumar Yadav comes in at 3 and can both knock the ball around and take the attack to the bowlers. Moreover, he is a brilliant player of spin and can counter the CSK spin trio to perfection. Amongst all the batsmen on display tomorrow, Suryakumar seems like a good pick, as he bats high up the order and has been in good form to help himself to some runs on Wednesday.

For the final pick for this game, I would be going in with Yuvraj Singh. Yuvraj has scored most of his runs against spinners this season and CSK have two spinners that will be bowling into him. Both Jadeja and Tahir could be taken to the cleaners by Yuvi, and he would fancy himself on that small ground in Wankhede. Get him in.

Captain: Hardik Pandya(if MI bat first)/Rohit Sharma(if MI bat second)

Vice-Captain: QDK
