Mitchell McClenaghan shares wife's message regarding COVID-19 in hilarious tweet

Mitchell McClenaghan shares wife’s message: Karachi Kings’ fast bowler is staying in isolation after reaching back home in New Zealand.

New Zealand and Karachi Kings fast bowler Mitchell McClenaghan was among the many cricketers who left Pakistan in the middle of the ongoing fifth season of the Pakistan Super League.

Many players decided to travel back home due to the outbreak of a “pandemic” in COVID-19 of late. While coronavirus has led to the cancellation of almost all top-level cricket, PSL 2020 is being played behind closed doors for it was in its business end.

McClenaghan, 33, played only one match of the tournament against Multan Sultans where he gave away 14 runs in the only over that he played before rain played spoilsport.

Upon reaching home in New Zealand, McClenaghan found a hilarious handwritten note from his wife. “When you start to get frustrated, just think it could be worse. At least you’re not stuck inside with your wife,” read the note.

The left-arm fast bowler took to his Twitter account to share the note from her “legendary” wife.

As per the government regulations regarding the coronavirus, McClenaghan will have to stay in isolation for two weeks essentially because of his recent travel history.

Having last played for New Zealand during the first semi-final of ICC World Twenty20 2016 against England in Delhi, McClenaghan has since then become a freelance T20 cricketer and plays for various T20 league around the globe.
