Liverpool are currently taking on Norwich City in the opening match of the Premier League. They have been utterly dominant and have taken the match by storm. An own goal by Norwich City’s Grant Hanley gave them the lead. This is only the second time an own goal has been the opening goal of a Premier League season after Kyle Walker turned it into his own net against Man Utd in 2015-16.
Mohamed Salah then doubled the lead in the 19th minute of the match. Alexander Arnold passed the ball to Salah. The Egyptian didn’t have the best control on the ball but luckily for him, he sneaked a pass to Firmino and ran towards the goal. Firmino touched the ball softly in Salah’s direction who then pushed the ball towards the goal.
Mohamed Salah has now scored a goal in every single opening game since joining Liverpool in 2017.
