It’s a great feeling for every cricketer who makes his first entry into the dressing room just like making a debut for the team. It’s an intense emotion that is hard to describe.

MS Dhoni’s debut match was something to forget. But, the way he upped his ante since then was like taking another step in intensity towards becoming of the best.
In a candid interview with The Print, MS Dhoni was asked to describe the feeling of his first Indian team dressing room’s appearance as a cricketer.
It was one of the funniest things and that was an unforgettable experience for MS Dhoni who didn’t speak or didn’t react a lot at the starting point of time during the assignment against Bangladesh. Dhoni said that he was totally clueless.

“It was very awkward (laughs). It was in Bangladesh, it was a very short tour, and we played three games, and I think three games got over in four days. Like my career, the tour was also one of the mixed emotions, as we lost the second game,” Dhoni said.
“Getting into the dressing room… in fact, it was even before the dressing room, when we went into a meeting room, all the senior players were there. It is the first time you are actually seeing the big names when it comes to Indian cricket, and you don’t know how to react, you just keep watching everyone, you are shy, you don’t want to speak a lot. You just want to figure out really what is happening,” Dhoni continued.
MS Dhoni recalls the time during his first dressing room entry that he didn’t speak much as he was looking up to the senior players. He added saying that sharing the dressing room was an incredible experience.
“I don’t think I spoke much, I was just watching the senior players and it seemed that the whole room was filled with them, people who you at times dreamed of playing with, and that is the time you are actually sharing a dressing room with them, so it was an amazing experience,” MS Dhoni said.
