Former Indian skipper and keeper-batsman MS Dhoni gave evidence of his greatness all over again as he carried drinks during the second T20I between India and Ireland.

Dhoni is one of the greatest cricketers that India has ever produced. He has close to 10000 runs in ODI and has various records as a wicket-keeper as well. Currently, he is the most senior player in the Indian team. Still keeping in mind the spirit of the game, Dhoni wore the jersey that is worn by the people who are in the squad but not in the playing XI and carried drinks on the ground.

The Indian team management took some strange calls in the team selection in the second Indian-Ireland T20I. While KL Rahul and Dinesh Karthik were dropped in the first match, the Virat Kohli led side came up with a bigger surprises in this match.

The management rested veterans MS Dhoni and Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Instead, KL Rahul and Dinesh Karthik were given a chance in their place. Young pacer Siddharth Kaul also made his T20I debut as well.

Dhoni came to the ground with drinks. It was a message for us on how to keep ourselves humble. Dhoni is one of the richest persons that you will ever see. He owns cars which cost in seven digits and has several sponsorship contracts.

Despite all of that, he has remained rooted and behaves like a normal player. Yuzvendra Chahal once revealed this on the YouTube show Breakfast with Champions that when he first came into a team he called Dhoni by names such as Dhoni sir. “One day Mahi bhai called me and said that you can call me Mahi, Dhoni or Mahendra Singh Dhoni,” Chahal said. These things are testament to the greatness of the man.
