Napoli vs Liverpool: When and where to watch the Red’s first match of their Champions League defence?

Napoli vs Liverpool: The Red’s begin their defense of the European trophy with a tricky trip to Napoli. Here’s all the details surrounding the match.

Liverpool have had two phenomenal seasons in the Champions League. They won the coveted trophy last year and were finalists in the year prior. The Reds will be looking to make it 3 finals in 3 years and possibly two consecutive triumphs.

The journey to the defense begins with an away encounter against Napoli away from home. On paper Liverpool look good to clear the group. However, they will be aware of their horrible away record in their last campaign.

Last season, Liverpool lost 4 out of their 6 away matches. 3 of those losses came in the group stage of the champions league including a 1-0 loss to Napoli. Their 2 wins came against Bayern Munich and Porto before the 3-0 hammering by Barcelona at Camp Nou.

Liverpool would consider themselves lucky to beat Barcelona 4-0 at Anfield but they will be smart to know that miracles don’t happen every day. Jurgen Klopp and his men will look to improve their away record this season and it all starts with the trip on Tuesday.

What day and time is the Napoli vs Liverpool match?
