While many place Kevin Harvick as one of the most committed and determined drivers in NASCAR, there’s another side to him that only a few know about. Harvick, who is set to retire at the end of the current season, recently got a pretty special tribute video from his friends, colleagues, and competitors.

In that video, people such as Denny Hamlin, Tony Stewart, and more shed some light on the other side of Harvick’s personality. The side which is completely opposite to his persona as a racecar driver, the side in which he’s a prankster with a great sense of humor.
Denny Hamlin and Tony Stewart on Kevin Harvick’s sense of humor
During a tribute video posted by Stewart Haas Racing in which Harvick’s friends and colleagues shed some light on his prankster persona, Denny Hamlin and Tony Stewart described his sense of humor.
“I wouldn’t say he has a dry sense of humor, but it’s close. Kevin got a good sense of humor and he knows when to bring it out for sure,” Hamlin said while Stewart claimed, “DeLana has a probably better sense of humor than Kevin even. But yeah, he’s got a great sense of humor and he appreciates the fun side.”
Hamlin also pointed out where Harvick gets his sense of humor and pranks from, and how he and a Hall of Famer are cut from the same mold. “I think him pulling pranks comes from probably his friendship with Tony Stewart, who really does that quite a bit,” the #11 driver said.
“You always see those two guys messing with each other on pit lane or whatever it might be. I was teammates with Tony for many years and he would do stuff when I was younger while I test that would just make my life miserable. Spray break clean in the bottom of my seat and essentially roasting my a** for hours.”
“Kevin did some of those things with his teammates as well and so they were kind of cut from the same mold.”

Kevin Harvick is aiming to get a win in his final NASCAR season
With just one finish inside the Top 5 and eight inside the Top 10, and no wins, undoubtedly Kevin Harvick winning a race in his final season in the sport would only add to his already legendary legacy. And that’s exactly he’s planning on doing.
“We’ve been competitive every week and had a chance to win a couple of races and run at the front and lead laps and do the things that I’ve wanted to do, and that was to be competitive for my team,” Harvick said.
“I think that’s the most important part, going out on your own terms the last year and try to do what we’ve done the last 22 years on the Cup side and that’s be competitive.”
Harvick deemed trying to win a race as the “most respectful thing” he can do toward his fans and the sport along with just going out there and cashing it in during the last few races of his NASCAR career.
